Cautions on connection
The current consumption of the GOT is as shown in the table above. When supplying the
power to the GOT from the 24V DC service power in the FX Series PLC basic unit or exten-
sion unit, take into account the total current supplied to proximity switches and extension
blocks. If the total current exceeds the capacity of the service power, the GOT should
obtain the power from an external power supply unit. In the case of the FX

Series PLC, an external power supply unit is required.
Even if instantaneous power interruption for less than 5 ms occurs in the power supply unit,
the GOT continues its operation.
When power interruption for 5 ms or more or the voltage drop occurs, the GOT stops its
operation. However, when the power is recovered, the GOT automatically restarts opera-
tion. (The screen displayed after recovery is determined by the operation environment set-
ting.)
For wiring of the power supply, use electric wires of 0.75 mm
2
or more so that voltage drop
does not occur. Use crimp-style terminals of M3 size, and tighten them securely with the
torque of 0.5 to 0.8 N
m so that troubles will not occur.
