Chapter 4 SelfCalibration
This product is equipped with an built-in calibration sensor. This function allows you to set the calibration
targets or schedule in advance, and automatically execute regular calibration. Calibration can be executed
independently by the monitor.
Attention
To execute SelfCalibration, it is necessary to set the calibration targets etc.
For more information, refer to “4-3. Setting Calibration Details [Setting]” (page 33).
NOTE
Use SelfCalibration as support for monitor calibration with ColorNavigator.
When matching the measurement results of the built-in sensor with the measurement results from a measurement
device, use the Correlation Utility included with ColorNavigator. Refer to the ColorNavigator User's Manual on
the CD-ROM.
SelfCalibration can also be executed when there are no computer signals being input.
4-1. Executing SelfCalibration [Calibration]
Procedure
1. Press
.
The SelfCalibration menu appears.
2. Choose <Calibration> from the SelfCalibration menu, and press .
3. Select “Execute” with or .
4. Press .
The built-in sensor is activated, and SelfCalibration is executed.
Attention
To execute SelfCalibration, it is necessary to select CAL mode.
After selecting execute, aging may be executed before the built-in sensor is activated.
4-2. Checking Calibration Results [Result]
The previous calibration results can be checked.
Procedure
1. Choose <Result> from the SelfCalibration menu, and press
.
2. Select the mode you want to check the results for with or .
The Result menu appears.
The date and time the last SelfCalibration was executed, and the total monitor usage time from the
previous calibration are displayed.
3. Select “Calibration Result” or “Ambient Light” with or .
The previous calibration results are displayed.
Attention
The measurement results of the ambient light sensor are used to check the difference between the current
environmental light level and the level of ambient light when calibration was executed, and are not reected in the
calibration results.
NOTE
If <Ambient Light> is selected, the current environmental light is also displayed.
Numerical values that do not reach the target values are displayed in yellow.
If the environment in which the product is used is signicantly different to the previous environment, the ambient
light measurement results may differ greatly between the previous calibrations and current calibrations.
