Installation
22 Attach the antenna to the antenna adapter so that the antenna is parallel with
BSG8ew.
23 Place the power supply mounting bracket on the wall close to the BSG8ew.
The power supply must be within 1.5 m (5 ft) of the BSG8ew and within 1.5 m (5
ft) of the AC power outlet.
The bracket can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
24 Use the two supplied screws to attach the power supply mounting bracket to the
wall.
25 Install the power supply into the mounting bracket by rotating the power supply
underneath the Nortel logo.
26 Slide the power supply into place.

Installing the BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw in an equipment rack
Use this procedure to install a BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw in a standard 19-inch equipment rack along
with your other networking and telecommunications equipment.
Prerequisites
• Obtain the rack-mount shelf kit.
• Use only the screws supplied with the rack-mount kit. Other screws can damage the unit.
Procedure steps
Step Action
1 Position the rack-mount shelf in the equipment rack.
2 Align the holes in the rack-mount shelf with the holes in the equipment rack rails.
3 Fasten the rack-mount shelf to the equipment rack using the four supplied
screws as shown in the following figure.
