User’s Responsibility
You must supply the following information upon request:
• Whether the notification is about a connection or disconnection
• The manufacturer of the device – Nortel Networks
• Model number of the device:
– Passport 4430AC: NTJ728AA
– Passport 4450AC: NTJ729AA
– Passport 4450ACR: NTJ730AA
– Passport 4450DC: NTJ731AA
– Passport 4450DCR: NTJ732AA
Note:
Agency approvals are for product Passport 44xx. Posted on
it are model numbers NTAU08xx, NTAU09xx, NTAU10xx,
NTAU12xx, NTAU13xx, where xx can be any alpha numeric
value.
• FCC Part 68 (U.S.A. T1) – see label on card for registration number
• DOC CS-03 (Canada) – see label on card for registration number
• Connectors – RJ-48C or RJ-11
In addition to the above information you will be required to supply the
following supplemental information if your system is an XD, DD, DE or OT
requiring three or more Central Office lines:
• Sequence in which the trunks are to be connected
• Facility interface codes by position
• Service order codes by position
Note:
The FCC registration label includes the ringer equivalence,
because at the time FCC Part 68 was established, digital
systems without ringing had not been established. Even
though the ringer equivalence must appear on the label, it is
inconsequential in the case of digital communications.
Connection of this unit to the nationwide telecommunications network must be
through a standard network interface connector (RJ-48C or RJ-11) which must
be ordered from the telephone company.
