There is something wrong with the unit. Contact our service
personnel.
The covers are open. Close them.
The ink film is empty. Replace the ink film with a new one
(p. 100, 101).
The ink film is not installed. Install it (p. 100, 101).
The ink film is slack. Tighten it (see step 6 on page 101).
The document is not fed into the unit properly. Reinsert the
document. If misfeeding occurs frequently, clean the document
feeder rollers (p. 103) and try again. If the problem remains,
adjust the feeder pressure (p. 99).
Memory (telephone numbers, parameters, etc.) has been erased.
Re-program.
The recording paper is not installed or the unit has run out of
paper. Install paper and press to clear the message.
The recording paper is not fed into the unit properly. Reinstall
paper (p. 13) and press to clear the message.
The recording paper has jammed near the recording paper
entrance. Clear the jammed paper (p. 98) and press to
clear the message. Do not install folded or heavily curled paper.
The unit has a document in memory. See the other displayed
message instructions to print out the document.
Memory is full of received documents due to a lack of recording
paper or a recording paper jam etc. Install paper or clear the
jammed paper.
When performing memory transmission, the document being
stored exceeds the memory capacity of the unit. Transmit the
entire document manually.
There is no space to store new stations in the JOG DIAL
directory. Erase unnecessary stations (p. 38).
When making a copy, the document being stored exceeds the
memory capacity of the unit. Press to clear the
message. Divide the document and try again.
