FAQ
Writing to
disc appears to
start normally,
but fails. Why?
SmoothLink may not be functioning. Check the
SmoothLink function setting in writing software and
the following:
BDisable suspend and resum functions.
BClose resident software and other programs.
If SmoothLink function is OFF, writing data to media
may fail due to interruption during data transmission
from the computer.
To avoid:
BChange writing speed (to a lower speed).
Before actually writing to the media, execute
“Simulate” using the writing software.
Available working speed may change depending
on the computer environment. Check the following:
BPerform hard disk maintenance. (Defragment hard
disk after disk scanning.)
BDisable suspend and resume functions.
BClose resident software and other programs.
BTurn off screen saver.
BTurn off Active Desktop.
BDo not configure network connection.
