For Video/S-Video/Component signal input, the following ‘Picture’ and ‘Features’ adjustments can
be made:
Picture adjustments
• Press Menu and select ‘Picture’ in the menu bar. The following ‘Picture’ adjustments can now
be made, following the instructions under ‘General explanation’ and the screen.
– Brightness
to adjust the brightness of the displayed picture;
– Contrast
to adjust the overall contrast intensity;
– Colour
to adjust the colour saturation of the projected image;
– Tint
to adjusts the overall colour impression from warm to cool;
– Smart picture
to select specific picture characteristics for different input sources: Movie, Nature, Sports,
Cartoon, Game and Internet;
– CristalClear (LC6285 0nly)
CrystalClear picture enhancement demo.Temporarily undoes all Picture settings to
compare picture performance with and without Picture settings;
– Sharpness
to control the contour impression of the picture;
– Hue (only for NTSC)
to adjust the tint of the projected image;
– Picture Format
to select one of six picture format options (wide screen, super zoom 4:3, 4:3, movie
expand 14:9, movie expand 16:9, 16:9 subtitles).
Features
• Press Menu and select ‘Features’ in the menu bar. The following ‘Features’ can now be
selected, following the instructions under ‘General explanation’ and the screen.
– Picture In Picture (LC 6285 only)
to enable the projection of second picture in the currently projected picture.
– PIP format (LC 6285 only)
to select the size of the PIP window: Small, Medium or Large;
– PIP location (LC 6285 only)
to select the location of the PIP window in the main screen;
– Start-up screen
to display (Philips) or suppresses (Off) the default Philips start-up screen or your personal
startup text (Personal) upon the projector’s start up;
– Menu appearance (LC 6285 only)
to change the colour of the On Screen Displays;
– Zoom
to enlarge a part of the picture;
– Freeze
to capture a moving picture (still picture);
– Child lock
to de-activate all remote and local controls (On).To disable the Childlock function press
Childlock on the remote control to enter the menu and set Childlock to Off.
For LC6285 Child lock can also be disabled by pressing OK on the remote control or on
the projector for 10 seconds.
– Sleep timer
to switch off Sleep timer mode or selects the delay time after which the projector
automatically switches to Standby.
