Connecting to the Home Page
◆ If you take your Internet Terminal to a new location, for example, to show it
to a friend, you may see the message: “Your Internet Terminal was unplugged
or the electricity went out. If you are at a different phone number now, choose
New Number. Otherwise, choose Same.”
If you are at the same phone number, highlight Same and press the GO but-
ton. If you are at a different phone number, highlight New Number and press the GO but-
ton. Follow the instructions on-screen.
◆ If more than one user is registered for your unit, you must enter your user name and
password. Then, the Home Page will appear. The Mail, Favorites and Options will be set for
the designated user. See Setup on page 30 for details.

Exploring the Internet on WebTV
This chapter explains how to access various pages on the Internet from the WebTV
Home Page. Because the Internet is constantly changing, the Home Page will also occa-
sionally change. When you see new icons, explore! WebTV will provide help for using
new icons through the INSTRUCTIONS icon.

Turn on your television.

Press the POWER button on the remote to turn on the Internet Terminal. The
Connecting to WebTV screen will appear.
In one to two minutes, the WebTV Home Page will appear.
If the Internet Terminal is having trouble connecting to WebTV, you may see a mes-
sage on-screen. Follow the on-screen directions carefully. If you need to check your
Dialing Options, see page 31 for more details.

To Activate a Home Page Icon
Highlight an icon on the Home Page using the Arrow buttons on the remote control.
To connect to the Home Page
Press the GO button on the remote.
