Changing Batteries
Caution!
Danger of explosion if the battery is replaced with wrong
type.
Training computer
Opening the sealed back cover of the training computer
voids warranty. We recommend that you have the battery
replaced by an authorized Polar Service Center even after
warranty period runs out. Here, your training computer will
be tested for water resistance after battery replacement,
and given a full periodic check.
S1 foot pod
See the instructions in the S1 foot pod user manual.
G1 GPS sensor
See the instructions in the G1 GPS sensor user manual.
Transmitter connector
Change the sealing ring of the battery cover every time you
change the battery. You can purchase the sealing
ring/battery kits at well-equipped Polar retailers and
authorized Polar Services. In the USA and Canada, the
additional sealing rings are available at authorized Polar
Service Centers only. Keep the batteries away from
children. If swallowed, contact a doctor immediately.
Batteries should be properly disposed of according to local
regulations.
When handling a new, fully charged battery, avoid
clasp-like contact, i.e. simultaneous from both sides, with
metal or electrically conducting tools, like tweezers. This
may short-circuit the battery causing it to discharge more
rapidly. Typically, short circuiting does not damage the
battery, but it may decrease its capacity and lifetime.
