requesting data is called a client while the
application providing data is called the server.
OLE clients include Cardfile and Write. OLE
servers include Pocket Recorder, Excel, and
Sound Recorder.
A useful application for OLE would be sending a
personal message through E-mail and having the
recipient click on the embedded icon to hear your
voice message.
Pocket Mixer
Pocket Mixer is a Windows based application that
allows you to:
control master volume
control volume levels and balance of
individual input sources
select a record source
edit waveform files
playback from other sources
record new tracks
A common use of the Pocket Mixer is in recording
voice annotation and placing them within other
documents. You cannot use the Pocket Mixer to
record a voice annotation over CD audio, for
example. The Pocket Mixer allows you to select
the recording source. You can adjust the
recording level by using the slider in the Master
volume knob.
