Remedy
Confirm that power is correctly connected.
Turn power on again.
Confirm that LAN cable is correctly connected.
Confirm that the NX-100/100S is connected to the correct switching
hub's port and that the proper type of cable is used for the connection.
Refer to p. 2-3, Network Connections, for connections to other
networks.
Confirm that Java Runtime Environment is installed in PC using the
Setup/Operation programs.
Refer to p. 2-9, Installing Java Runtime Environment, for correct
installation.
Check version number of installed Java Runtime Environment. Unit
may malfunction if version numbers differ.
Refer to p. 2-9, Installing Java Runtime Environment, for
confirmation of the version number.
Confirm that PC using Setup/Operation programs is correctly
connected to network.
Confirm that unit's IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway are
correctly set.
Refer to p. 3-8, Unit Scanning Tool, or p. 4-4, Network Setting, for
network setting procedures.
When connected to other networks via router, confirm with network
management personnel if the router is properly set.
If Java Runtime Environment is set to operate via a proxy server,
indications may not be properly displayed. Cancel the use of proxy.
(Perform this operation from the Control Panel.)
Check PC using Setup/Operation programs by way of browser for
correct connection. Also, confirm that browser is correctly set.
Setting screen uses Java Script. Confirm that browser is Java Script-
compatible and that the function is set to Enable.
Screen may not be properly displayed if browser is set to use a proxy
server. Do not use proxy server.
Check to see if correct type of cable is used.
Confirm that serial communication settings of both original and
connected units are correct.
Refer to p. 3-27, Serial Bridge Setting, or p. 4-18, Serial Bridge
Setting, for serial communication setting.
Confirm that connections are correctly made to equipment that meets
unit's control I/O specification requirements.
3. IF A FAILURE IS DETECTED
Symptom
Cannot start up. No LEDs light.
LNK/ACT LED does not light.
Setup/Operation programs do not
start up.
Setup/Operation programs cannot
recognize NX-100 unit.
Browser setting screen is not
properly displayed.
Control inputs and outputs do not
operate.
Cannot carry out communications
using RS-232C interface.
