Universal Serial Bus
(USB 2.0)
The computer has two Universal Serial Bus ports
that comply with the USB 2.0 standard, which
enables data transfer speeds 40 times faster than
the USB 1.1 standard. (The ports also support
USB 1.1.)
PC Card Depending on the model you purchased:
The PC Card slot accommodates Type II card.
Sound System A Windows
®
Sound System compatible sound
system provides speakers as well as jacks for an
external microphone and headphones.
Headphone Jack This jack outputs analog audio signals.
Microphone Jack A 3.5 mm mini microphone jack enables
connection of a three-conductor mini jack for
monaural microphone input.
Modem The internal modem provides capability for data
and fax communication. It supports V.90 (V.92).
The speed of data transfer and fax
communication depends on the analog telephone
line conditions. The computer has a modem jack
for connection to a telephone line. Both of V.90
and V.92 are supported only in USA, Canada,
Australia, UK, France and Germany. Only V.90 is
available in other regions.
LAN The computer has built-in support for Ethernet
LAN (10 megabits per second, 10BASE-T) and
Fast Ethernet LAN (100 megabits per second,
100BASE-TX).
