Underside
The following figure shows the underside of the computer. Make sure the
display is closed before turning over your computer.

Universal Serial Bus
(USB 2.0) ports
A single of Universal Serial Bus port is on the
back side. The port complies with the USB 2.0
standard, which enables data transfer speeds 40
times faster than the USB 1.1 standard (The
ports also support USB 1.1). Keep foreign
objects out of the USB connectors. A pin or
similar object can damage the computer's
circuitry. Operation of all functions of all USB
devices has not been confirmed. As such, some
untested third-party devices may not function
properly.
DC IN 19V Jack The AC adaptor connects to this socket. Use
only the model of AC adaptor that comes with the
computer. Using the wrong adaptor can damage
your computer.
LAN Jack This jack lets you connect to a LAN. The adaptor
has built-in support for Ethernet LAN (10
megabits per second, 10BASE-T) and Fast
Ethernet LAN (100 megabits per second,
100BASE-TX). Refer to Chapter 4, Operating
Basics, for details.
