Configuration
The configuration software allows you to adjust and monitor the operating
parameters of the media converter. Some of the functions that you can
perform with the software include:
Determine the VDSL link status
Set the upstream and downstream data transfer rates
Monitor the status of the VDSL parameters on both the local and
remote units
Monitor the status of the Ethernet parameters on both the local and
remote units
Link recovery
The AT-S57 configuration software is included on the Documentation CD
included with the network extender. The default settings may be adequate
for some networks and may not need to be changed. If this is true for your
network, then you can use the network extenders by simply connecting the
units to your network, as explained in ”Installation” on page 18.
Note
The default settings for the configuration software can be found in
Appendix A”” on page 51.
To actively configure a network extender by changing or adjusting its
operating parameters, you must access the AT-S57 software while
connected to the AT-MC602 Provider unit. The AT-S57 software has a
menu interface that makes it very easy to use.
