Initializing the Security Platform
After installing the Inneon Security Platform software and restart the computer,
you can see a balloon tip above the TPM icon on the Windows notication area
reminding you to initialize the security platform.

Security Platform Initialization
Wizard
.
The Inneon Security Platform Initialization Wizard is used to initialize the Security
Platform and to congure Security Platform Features (backup including Emergency
Recovery, Password Reset, Enhanced Authentication). These operations are
needed to enable the Inneon Security Platform functionality and provide the basis
for all further activities on the Inneon Seciruty Platform.
For Inneon Security Platform Software to function normally, initialize the
Trusted Platform Module via Inneon Security Platform Initialization Wizard
only. DO NOT initialize the TPM via the Windows Vista built-in Trusted Platform
Module (TPM) Management Application.
To use the Security Platform Initialization Wizard
1. Click the TPM icon on the Windows
notication area. The Inneon
Security Platform Initialization
Wizard appears.
2. Follow the screen instructions to
complete TPM initialization.
Initializing the Security Platform User Data
After initializing the Inneon Security Platform, you can see a balloon tip above the
TPM icon on the Windows notication area reminding you to initialize the Security
Platform User Data using the
Security Platform User Initialization Wizard
.
The Inneon Security Platform User Initialization Wizard is used to initialize
the Security Platform Users and to congure the user-specic features (secure
e-mail, le and folder encryption with EFS and PSD, Enhanced Authentication).
This wizard has to be started for each computer user, who is intended to use the
personalized Inneon Security Platform Feature (i.e., who will be Inneon Security
Platform User).
