Set Event
The Set Event screen of the Alarm Wizard allows you to determine the
action SMON takes when an Event occurs.

To configure the action SMON takes when a Rising Event occurs, select a
radio button in the
Rising event
fields. To configure the action SMON takes
when a Falling Event occurs, select a radio button in the
Falling event
fields.
The possible actions are:
None - No action is taken when the Event occurs.
Log - The Event is recorded in SMONs Device Event Log.
Trap - A trap is sent to the manager of the device. This trap can be
viewed in the Trap Log in Avaya Network Management Console or
HP NNM.
Log & Trap - The Event is recorded in SMONs Device Event Log
and a trap is sent to the manager of the device.
When you finish configuring Event parameters, click
Next
. If one or more
of the Event actions is Trap or Log & Trap, the Alarm Wizard continues
with the Set Trap Community
screen. Otherwise, the Alarm Wizard
continues with the Summary
screen.
