These notices are in effect on models
sold and used in the United States only.
This equipment is hearing aid compatible.
When programming emergency numbers and/or making test calls
to emergency numbers:
■ Remain on the line and briefly explain to the dispatcher the reason for the
call before hanging up.
■ Perform such activities in the off-peak hours, such as early morning or
late evening.
This equipment complies with Part 68 of FCC Rules. On the rear panel of this
equipment is a label that contains, among other information, the FCC Registra-
tion Number and Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) for this equipment. You
must, upon request, provide this information to your telephone company.
You may safely connect this equipment to the telephone line by means of a
standard modular jack, USOC RJ11C.
An FCC compliant telephone cord with a modular plug is provided with this
equipment. This equipment is designed to be connected to the telephone line or
premises wiring using a compatible modular jack that is Part 68 compliant. See
the Installation section of this manual for details.
