Running Fan Self-Test
The procedures in this section describe the fan module tests and provide sample text from performing a
fan test.
Note The sample text in the steps below shows command output for the Cisco SFS 7000P Server Switch. For
the Cisco SFS 7000D Server Switch, you would see a similar display.
To perform a diagnostic self-test on a fan, follow these steps:
Step 1 Identify the number of the fan you want to diagnose, if you do not already know the number. Power
supply 1 contains fan number 1, and power supply 2 contains fan number 2. (See Figure 6-1.)
