The files for using your printer with your Macintosh computer are
included in the disk labeled EPSON PostScript
TM
Fonts
(Macintosh
TM
Format) Disk 1.
The “LaserWriter” printer driver and “LaserWrinter Prep” convert
the printout data to the PostScript format, and the screen font files
allow you to see on the screen how fonts look when printed.
Driver installation
1.
Open your computer’s hard disk that includes the System
Folder.
2. Insert the EPSON PostScript™
Fonts (Macintosh™ Format) Disk
1 in the drive.
3.
Copy the “LaserWriter” driver file and “LaserWriter Prep” file
to the System Folder.
Important Note: If you are using System 7, use the LaserWriter
driver supplied with System 7. (See your Macintosh System 7
user’s manuals for information under “printer driver.“) Do not
use the driver provided in this package.
4.
If you are using application software from Adobe Systems Inc.,
you may need to install the ????????.PPD file. Copy the
“????????.PPD” file to the folder specified by the application
software. The PPD file for your printer is in the folder with your
printer’s name. If there is no folder with your printer’s name, use
the PPD file that appears in the disk window.
