Exceptional glossiness
Each Epson UltraChrome K3 ink pigment
crystal is coated with a high-density resin
that smoothes the paper surface when
the ink is applied. This eliminates uneven
light reflection to significantly reduce gloss
differential and create a rich, gorgeous
gloss with improved scratch resistance.
Decreased metamerism
Metamerism is the tendency for colors
to appear differently under different
lighting conditions. Our high-density
pigment inks virtually eliminate this
problem. Your prints will look great and
have consistent, accurate color, regardless
of lighting conditions.
Excellent color stability
Epson UltraChrome K3
pigment-based inks are
significantly more stable
than dye-based inks. In fact,
color is stable right out of the

technology. The reason? We’re constantly working
on new and better designs that deliver greater
ease of use, reduce overall operating costs and

What makes our ink
cartridges intelligent?
Each cartridge has a built-in memory chip that
alerts you if the cartridge is incorrectly installed
or not working properly. It also monitors the
level of ink in the cartridge and ink usage, and
displays the data on your PC monitor.You’ll not
only know when it’s time to replace the cartridge,
you’ll also be able to more accurately estimate
production costs.
Easy-to-change individual
ink cartridges.
Another advantage of our intelligent ink
cartridge system is that each color comes in
its own individual cartridge that can be replaced
as needed.This gives you control over ink usage
by letting you replace only the color or colors
that run out.
And you can change cartridges on the fly, even
during a print job, with no loss in image quality
and no loss of productivity.A special valve at the
ink supply port opens when the cartridge is
installed and closes when the cartridge is
removed, so you can swap cartridges fast,
without spillage or mess.
