DID YOU KNOW? Using a RIP can help you achieve visibly better output, a more
reliable workflow and increased productivity. A RIP (Raster Image Processor) is
high-performance hardware or software that converts image data into information
that the printer uses to print the image. RIP benefits include improved image
quality, enhanced color management and faster processing and printing.

New Epson UltraChrome K3 ink technology
features three levels of black ink (Black, Light Black and Light Light
Black). The addition of a third black ink dramatically improves gray
balance, allows for more accurate color control, and produces smoother
gradations in highlights. Skin tones come alive as never before. Shadows
reveal subtleties that were previously lost. And photos exhibit a depth
and richness never before possible from a digital color printer.
Our new Epson UltraChrome K3
ink technology marks a turning
point in the evolution of ink jet photo printing. This breakthrough
technology delivers truly spectacular black-and-white and color
archival prints that dramatically raise the bar for digital prints.
8 colors including 3 levels of black = amazing color prints
Our new 8-color Epson UltraChrome K3 pigment-based ink
technology combines all-new high-density color pigments with a
new three-level black. The result? An ultra-wide color gamut that
produces archival prints with amazing color fidelity, and gloss
levels and scratch resistance that less advanced ink technologies
simply can’t match.
Unlike with dye-based ink systems, color is stable right out of the
printer. There’s no short-term color shifting. And your prints will
have professional-level lightfastness ratings and superior durability,
regardless of the type of media you use.
Black-and-white prints you have to see to believe
Disappointed with the quality of your digital black-and-white
prints? Epson UltraChrome K3 technology is for you. A new driver
takes full advantage of our new three-level black (Black, Light Black
and Light Light Black) system to produce sellable neutral and toned
black-and-white prints of uncompromising image quality.
The new driver, combined with the new inks, produces smoother
gradations in highlights for greater detail in shadow areas. A higher
D-Max delivers incredible depth and richness. And bronzing,
metamerism and gloss differential are virtually eliminated.
You’ll create impressive black-and-white archival prints that are
indistinguishable from prints created in a photo lab, even to the
trained eye.

My dream, as a developer, is
to create inks that won’t fade for
generations. Digital photographs
should be passed from one generation
to the next, to communicate the
cherished memories of families.
