5. Windows 95 and NT users should proceed to step 6.
For Windows 98 users, follow the on-screen instructions to
turn on your printer. The printer port configuration starts
automatically.
For printers connected via USB cable, the USB device driver
installation starts automatically at this point.
6. When a message appears informing you that installation is
complete, click OK.
Note:
If an error message appears, either the printer driver or the EPSON
USB printer device driver is not installed correctly. See
“Troubleshooting” in your Reference Guide in the Online Guide.
To access the printer software installed in your computer, see
“Accessing the Printer Software” on page 3-13.
For information on using the printer software see “Printer
Software” in the Reference Guide in the Online Guide. If you use
your printer on a network see “Setting up Your Printer on a
Network” on page 3-14.
Ensuring that the USB driver is installed correctly in Windows
(for Windows 98 only)
After the printer software installation is complete, confirm that
the USB driver is installed correctly.
1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Printers.
Make sure that the icon for your printer appears in the Printers
window.
