4.3.2 Installing/removing the system unit
V CAUTION!
● Because the PRIMERGY BX900 S1 system unit is large and
heavy, at least three people are needed to safely mount it in the
rack or remove it from the rack.
● Please observe the safety information and notes on rack installation
in the chapter "Important notes" as of page 36.
● Before you install the system unit in the rack, remove the
server blades, power supply units and fan units to reduce the weight
of the system unit.
● Only lift or carry the system unit by the handles on the long sides.
● Never lift or carry the system unit by the handles on the front or back.

Refer to the "Rack Mounting Guide" for more detailed explanation and for
other support systems.
Ê Make a note of the positions of the individual server blades and storage
blades, the connection blades, power supply units and fan modules in the
system unit for reinstallation.
Ê Remove the server blades, storage blades, power supply units, fan units,
connection blades and management blades from the system unit. For
assembly instructions see chapter "Hot-plug components" on page 83.
