Load the original with the
narrow side down
and the side-to-be-
scanned facing toward the front of the scanner.

Adjust the paper guides.

Press the
Scan
button on the scanner or press the
Copy
button
for a Quick Copy.
Note
Always remove all originals from the input tray and straighten the stack
when new originals are added.
CAUTION
Small originals will cause a jam if not loaded correctly.
Note
If editing text (OCR), the original must be loaded with the text positioned
horizontally and upside down. See “Editing scanned text (OCR)” for
more information.
