Performing Backup and Restore Operations
Storage Area Manager and the Storage Management Appliance have separate backup
operations and databases.
Storage Area Manager Backup
By default, Storage Area Manager backups occur at 11:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. You can
manually back up the Storage Area Manager database by connecting to the Storage
Management Appliance, using either Terminal Services or an attached monitor, keyboard, and
mouse, and running the following command:
“C:\program files\Hewlett-Packard\sanmgr\managementserver\sbin\
backupdb.cmd”
If Storage Area Manager is installed in a different directory, change the path accordingly.
Refer to the Storage Area Manager documentation for complete information on backups.
