2 Installing the Hardware
This chapter describes how to:
• install the Kodak Professional 10/100 network interface card
(NIC) in the printer.
• install the Ethernet cable.
• make a test print.
Static Electricity Precautions
To help prevent static electricity from damaging the NIC during
installation:
• Touch the metal frame of the printer to discharge the static
electricity from your body.
• Grasp the NIC only by its edges.
• Avoid movement during installation that can generate static
electricity.
• Avoid working in a carpeted area.
