FCC Statement
The Lucent Technologies UPS configurations vary. Some configurations may or may not be classified by
the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). If your UPS is classified by these standards, the
corresponding information applies:
Class A
NOTE This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device,
pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against
harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment
generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with
the instruction manual, may cause interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in
a residential area is likely to cause interference in which case the user will be required to correct the
interference at his own expense.
European EMC Statement
Some configurations are classified under EN50091Ć2 as ClassĆA UPS for Unrestricted Sales
Distribution." For these configurations, the following applies:
WARNING This is a Class AĆUPS Product. In a domestic environment, this product may cause radio
interference, in which case, the user may be required to take additional measures.
EC Declaration of Conformity
Units that are labeled with a CE mark comply with the following EU directives:
73/23/EEC Council Directive on equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits.
93/68/EEC Amending Directive 73/23/EEC.
89/336/EEC Council Directive relating to electromagnetic compatibility.
