LIMITED WARRANTY
LIMITED WARRANTY
EIZONANAOCORPORATION(hereinafterreferredtoas“EIZO”)anddistributorsauthorizedbyEIZO(hereinafter
referredtoasthe“Distributors
”)warrant,subjecttoandinaccordancewiththetermsofthislimitedwarranty(hereinafter
referredtoasthe“Warranty”),totheoriginalpurchaser(hereinafterreferredtoasthe“Original Purchaser
”)who
purchasedtheproductspeciedinthisdocument(hereinafterreferredtoasthe“Product”)fromEIZOorDistributors,
thatEIZOandDistributorsshall,attheirsolediscretion,eitherrepairorreplacetheProductatnochargeiftheOriginal
PurchaserbecomesawarewithintheWarrantyPeriod(denedbelow)thattheProductmalfunctionsorisdamagedinthe
courseofnormaluseoftheProductinaccordancewiththedescriptionintheinstructionmanualattachedtotheProduct
(hereinafterreferredtoasthe“User’s Manual”).
TheperiodofthisWarrantyislimitedto(i)five(5)yearsfromthedateofpurchaseoftheProduct;or,limitedtothe
expirationof(ii)30,000hoursofitsuseoftheProduct(hereinafterreferredtoasthe“Warranty Period
”).However,the
brightnessoftheProductshallbewarrantedonlyiftheProducthasbeenusedwithintherecommendedbrightness
describedintheUser’sManual.TheWarrantyPeriodforthebrightnessisalsolimitedtove(5)yearsfromthedateof
purchaseoftheProductsubjecttotheusagetimebeinglessthanorequalto10,000hours.EIZOandDistributorsshall
bearnoliabilityorobligationwithregardtotheProductinrelationtotheOriginalPurchaseroranythirdpartiesotherthan
asprovidedunderthisWarranty.
EIZOandDistributorswillceasetoholdorstoreanypartsoftheProductuponexpirationofseven(7)yearsafterthe
productionofsuchpartsisdiscontinued.Inrepairingthemonitor,EIZOandDistributorswilluserenewalpartswhich
complywithourQCstandards.
TheWarrantyisvalidonlyinthecountriesorterritorieswheretheDistributorsarelocated.TheWarrantydoesnotrestrict
anylegalrightsoftheOriginalPurchaser.
NotwithstandinganyotherprovisionofthisWarranty,EIZOandDistributorsshallhavenoobligationunderthisWarranty
whatsoeverinanyofthecasesassetforthbelow:
(a) AnydefectoftheProductcausedbyfreightdamage,modication,alteration,abuse,misuse,accident,incorrect
installation,disaster,faultymaintenanceand/orimproperrepairbythirdpartyotherthanEIZOandDistributors;
(b) AnyincompatibilityoftheProductduetopossibletechnicalinnovationsand/orregulations;
(c) Anydeteriorationofthesensor;
(d) AnydeteriorationofdisplayperformancecausedbythedeteriorationofexpendablepartssuchastheLCDpanel
and/orbacklight,etc.(e.g.changesinbrightness,changesinbrightnessuniformity,changesincolor,changesin
coloruniformity,defectsinpixelsincludingburntpixels,etc.);
(e) AnydefectoftheProductcausedbyexternalequipment;
(f) AnydefectoftheProductonwhichtheoriginalserialnumberhasbeenalteredorremoved;
(g) Anynormaldeteriorationoftheproduct,particularlythatofconsumables,accessories,and/orattachments(e.g.
buttons,rotatingparts,cables,User’sManual,etc.);and
(h) Anydeformation,discoloration,and/orwarpoftheexterioroftheproductincludingthatofthesurfaceoftheLCD
panel.
ToobtainserviceundertheWarranty,theOriginalPurchasermustdelivertheProduct,freightprepaid,initsoriginal
packageorotheradequatepackageaffordinganequaldegreeofprotection,assumingtheriskofdamageand/orloss
intransit,tothelocalDistributor.TheOriginalPurchasermustpresentproofofpurchaseoftheProductandthedateof
suchpurchasewhenrequestingservicesundertheWarranty.
TheWarrantyPeriodforanyreplacedand/orrepairedproductunderthisWarrantyshallexpireattheendoftheoriginal
WarrantyPeriod.
EIZOORDISTRIBUTORSARENOTRESPONSIBLEFORANYDAMAGETO,ORLOSSOF,DATAOROTHER
INFORMATIONSTOREDINANYMEDIAORANYPARTOFANYPRODUCTRETURNEDTOEIZOORDISTRIBUTORS
FORREPAIR.
EIZOANDDISTRIBUTORSMAKENOFURTHERWARRANTIES,EXPRESSEDORIMPLIED,WITHRESPECTTO
THEPRODUCTANDITSQUALITY,PERFORMANCE,MERCHANTABILITYORFITNESSFORANYPARTICULAR
USE.INNOEVENTSHALLEIZOORDISTRIBUTORSBELIABLEFORANYINCIDENTAL,INDIRECT,SPECIAL,
CONSEQUENTIALOROTHERDAMAGEWHATSOEVER(INCLUDING,WITHOUTLIMITATION,DAMAGESFOR
LOSSOFPROFIT,BUSINESSINTERRUPTION,LOSSOFBUSINESSINFORMATION,ORANYOTHERPECUNIARY
LOSS)ARISINGOUTOFTHEUSEORINABILITYTOUSETHEPRODUCTORINANYCONNECTIONWITHTHE
PRODUCT,WHETHERBASEDONCONTRACT,TORT,NEGLIGENCE,STRICTLIABILITYOROTHERWISE,EVEN
IFEIZOORDISTRIBUTORSHAVEBEENADVISEDOFTHEPOSSIBILITYOFSUCHDAMAGES.THISEXCLUSION
ALSOINCLUDESANYLIABILITYWHICHMAYARISEOUTOFTHIRDPARTYCLAIMSAGAINSTTHEORIGINAL
PURCHASER.THEESSENCEOFTHISPROVISIONISTOLIMITTHEPOTENTIALLIABILITYOFEIZOAND
DISTRIBUTORSARISINGOUTOFTHISLIMITEDWARRANTYAND/ORSALES.
