Before requesting service, make the following checks. If you are in doubt about some of the check points, or if
the remedies indicated in the chart do not solve the problem, consult your dealer for instructions.
Symptom Checkpoints
Battery
Cannot recharge the battery. • Recharging may take dozens of seconds to start when you use
rechargeable batteries that had not been used for a long period.
• Are you using specified rechargeable batteries? Recharging batteries
that are out of specifications is impossible on this unit (
➜
page 2).
Playback does not last long
despite recharging.
• When playback using recharged batteries ends extremely fast, it
means battery life is over. (Roughly speaking, rechargeable batteries
can be refreshed about 300 times.)
Cannot use a battery that can be
still used on other equipment.
• This unit considers the battery as empty even if there is actually
power left in it. This is to preserve the clock setting.
Operations
No operation. • Make sure the battery is correctly inserted.
• You cannot operate on this unit when the unit is connected to a
computer.
Cannot operate when “ ”
appears.
• The Hold function is on. Switch Hold off (

Display
