Components of the KIRK Wireless Server 300 Solution
The components of the KWS300 will be described below:
KIRK Wireless Server 300
Below you will find an overview of the system capacity of the KWS300.
The KWS300 controls the wireless infrastructure. It manages the repeater and
the IP interface to the call handler.
The communication protocol between the KWS300 and the call handler is SIP
A KWS300 is installed directly on the LAN and must be managed as part of the
corporate network.
For more information about the KWS300, refer to “Installing KIRK Wireless
Server 300” on page 3-1 and “Configuring KIRK Wireless Server 300” on
page 4-1.
Wireless Bands
The wireless solution supports two wireless bands, allowing operation in
various countries and regions. Supported wireless bands are:
ETSI (1880-1900 Mhz), referred to as 1G8
USA DECT (1920-1930 Mhz), referred to as 1G9
Please note that it is not possible to change the predefined band.
