A Installation
Troubleshooting
The following sections contain information about issues that may occur during
installation. Some of this material is repeated in the Troubleshooting appendix of
the QLogic HCA and QLogic OFED Software User Guide.
Many programs and files are available that gather information about the cluster,
and can be helpful for debugging. See appendix D, Useful Programs and Files, in
the QLogic HCA and QLogic OFED Software User Guide.
Hardware Issues
Some of the hardware issues that may occur during installation are described in
the following sections. Use the LEDs, as described in “LED Link and Data
Indicators” on page 7-1, to help diagnose problems.
Node Spontaneously Reboots
If a node repeatedly and spontaneously reboots when attempting to load the
InfiniPath driver, it may be because the QLogic adapter is not installed correctly in
the HTX or PCI Express slot.
Some HTX Motherboards May Need Two or More CPUs in Use
Some HTX motherboards may require that two or more CPUs be in use for the
QLogic adapter to be recognized. This is most evident in four-socket
motherboards.
