Note: This setting is normally only used
in Germany. In other countries, you can
try changing the setting if you encounter
difficulty with the default setting.
If the machine is connected to a PBX
and the PBX uses the “Flash” method to
connect to an outside line, you must
select the appropriate Flash Select
setting depending on whether your PBX
line is a normal telephone line or a high-
speed line.
1 Press , , and .
2 Press (SHORT TIME) if your
PBX line is a normal telephone line.
Press (LONG TIME) if your
PBX line is a high-speed line.
3 Press to exit.

Language Select Setting
This setting is used to change the
language used in the display, reports
and lists.
1 Press , , and .
2 Press to select English.
Press to select Polish.
Press to select Turkish.
Press to select Romanian.
3 Press to exit.

Key Tone setting
The machine normally sounds a beep
each time you press a key on the
operation panel. This confirms that the
key has been correctly pressed.
If desired, you can turn off the beep
sound. Follow the steps below.
1 Press , , and .
2 Press (YES) to turn on the
beep sound.
Press (NO). to turn off the
beep sound.
3 Press to exit.
