Recording TV programs using
VCR Plus+ (continued)
5 Close the top cover of the remote
commander, then press SET to
confirm.
The date, start and stop times, channel
number, and tape speed appear on the
TV screen.
If the information is not correct, press
TIMER CLEAR to cancel the setting.
6 To enter another setting, repeat
steps 1 through 5.
7 Press TIMER REC ON/OFF.
The TIMER indicator appears in the
display window and the unit’s VCR
stands by for timer recording.
The picture switches to the video source.
To record from a DSS receiver or other
source, leave the connected equipment
switched on.
Tip
• TIMER REC on the unit has
the same function as TIMER
REC ON/OFF on the
remote commander.
Note
• If you selected any audio
input while watching the
unit’s VCR picture before
the unit’s VCR enters
recording standby, only the
picture switches to the TV
after you press TIMER REC
ON/OFF.
To stop recording
To stop the unit‘s VCR while recording, press TIMER REC ON/OFF.
To record satellite broadcasts
If you connect a DSS receiver and the unit, you can record satellite
programs.
1 Turn on the DSS receiver.
2 Press VHS LINE (if the DSS receiver is connected to the unit with the
LINE jacks).
3 On the DSS receiver, select the satellite program for which you wish
to make a timer setting.
4 Repeat the steps 1 through 7 starting on page 51.
5 Keep the DSS receiver turned on until the unit’s VCR finishes the
timer recording.
