Using the Floppy Disk Drive
You can connect the floppy disk drive to the (USB) connector on your
computer:
To connect the floppy disk drive
Plug the USB cable into the (USB) connector on the computer and the
other end into the USB connector on the floppy disk drive. The VAIO logo
on the disk drive should be facing up.
To insert a diskette

Hold the diskette with the label side facing up.

Gently push the diskette into the drive until it clicks into place.
You do not need to shut down the computer before connecting or disconnecting the floppy
disk drive.
The supplied floppy disk drive should be used only with PCG-N505. You cannot use this
floppy disk drive with another computer.
To use another USB device, such as a USB mouse, simultaneously, connect the supplied
i.LINK port replicator (PCGA-UPR5) to your computer (page 37), then plug another USB
device into the USB connector on the i.LINK port replicator.
