Troubleshooting
If a problem occurs, check the following tables with the operating instructions and/or electronic manuals
supplied with your computer. In addition, see “Getting Help” (page 71) for details, and visit our online
support site.
Turning on the power
Condition Cause/Remedy
The power cannot be turned
on.
Make sure the AC power adapter is securely plugged into AC IN on the
unit and the wall outlet (page 12, 13).
Static electricity may cause a malfunction. In this case, disconnect the
AC power adapter and leave for more than 30 seconds, then connect
the AC power adapter again.
Displaying data on the browse screen
Condition Cause/Remedy
[Cannot show the server list] is
displayed.
This unit may not be connected to a memory or server properly.
Perform the connection test.
Display the server list in [ Photos] or [ Music], and select a
memory or server you want to test, and then press OPTIONS.
Select [Connection test] in the Options menu, and press
(ENTER).
The connection test starts. Follow the on-screen instructions if the
connection fails.
Check the server settings on this unit when the Web service or Remote
Home Access server is selected.
A folder storing no photos/or music files cannot be opened.
[Cannot show photos] is
displayed.
Some photo files may not be displayed depending on the file format.
Some photo files may not be displayed depending on the file size.
Some photo files may not be displayed if the files have been edited on
a computer.
