Condition Cause/Remedy
[The deletion failed] is
displayed.
This unit may not be connected to a memory properly. Perform the
connection test.
Display the server list in [ Photos] or [ Music], and select the
memory to test, and then press OPTIONS.
Select [Connection test] in the Options menu, and press
(ENTER).
The connection test starts. Follow the on-screen instructions if the
connection fails.
If the Memory Stick media or SD/SDHC memory card is equipped with
a write-protect switch, the switch may be set to the lock position. Set
the switch to the unlock position.
[Cannot copy this track] is
displayed.
Some music files may not be stored depending on the file format. In
this case, store the file In MP3 file format.

Does not accept operation.
Does not work properly.
This unit may not work properly due to static electricity. Disconnect the
AC adapter, and leave for more than 30 seconds, then connect the AC
adapter again.
The remote control does not
work.
The battery may be inserted in the wrong direction. Insert the battery
in the correct direction (page 13).
Dark screen. Poor visibility.
Adjust the brightness by [Brightness adjustment] of [ Screen display]
in [ Settings] (page 61).
Does not accept MUSIC
operation.
Pressing MUSIC will not work while the Settings or browse screen is
displayed. To play back music, press MUSIC after closing the Settings or
browse screen.
If MUSIC is pressed while paused, MUSIC is unavailable until music
starts playing back. Press MUSIC after starting playback.
Music stops during playback.
Music playback stops automatically when the Settings or browse
screen is displayed. Pressing MUSIC does not work until playback starts.
Press MUSIC after starting playback.
The Web site is not displayed
properly.
A Web site may not display properly depending on the site.
The volume cannot be
adjusted.
The volume can be adjusted only when playing back music. Adjust the
volume during playback.
