When youuse thesecommandsthere are severalpointsto note:
● The font ((F’))commandis ignoredif the F buttonwas held down
whenpower was switchedon.
QA line consistingof commandsaloneprintsas a blankline.
● Thesoftwarewillnotknowthatthesearecommands,soyoucannottrust
yoursoftwareto giveyoutheconect linewidth.Theprintedlinemaybe
considerablyshorterthanthelineon thescreen;the extraspacebeingthe
spacethat was occupiedby the commands.
Onewayto handlethelastproblemisto prepareyourdocumentwithoutthe
commands,theninsertthemas a finalstep,withthemarginsreleased.The
find,replace,andcopyfimctionsofword-processingsoftwarecanbehelpful
here.
If youdo notusethesecommandsorthepanelcontrols,theprinterwillprint
standard-size,draft characters.
The printer supportsvariouscommandsin additionto the above,such as
quadruple-sizeprinting.Mostoftheseothercommandsconsistoftheescape
code followedby one or morelettersor numbers.
If yoursoftwareenablesyoutoplacetheescapecodein yourfdes, orif you
areabletodefinethisasauseroptionduringinstallation,youcanalsoembed
these escapesequences.
