The software isinstalled in directories

example, Directory Serversoftware is
installed in install-path/ds6/.
When you installfrom a zip distribution using
dsee_deploy(1M), the default install-pathis the current
directory. You canset the install-path using the -ioption
of the dsee_deploy command.When you install from a
native package distribution,such as you would using the
JavaEnterprise System installer, the default install-pathis
one of thefollowing locations:
Solaris systems -/opt/SUNWdsee/.
HP-UX systems -/opt/sun/.
Red Hat systems - /opt/sun/.
Windows systems -C:\Program
Files\Sun\JavaES5\DSEE.
instance-path Represents the fullpath to an instance
of Directory Serveror Directory Proxy
Server.
The documentation uses/local/ds/
for Directory Serverand /local/dps/
for Directory Proxy Server.
Nodefault path exists. Instancepaths must nevertheless
always be foundon a local le system.
The following directoriesare recommended:
/var on Solaris systems
/global if you areusing Sun Cluster
serverroot Represents the parentdirectory of the
IdentitySynchronization for Windows
installation location
Depends on your installation.Note the conceptof a
serverroot no longerexists for Directory Server.
isw-hostname Represents the Identity
Synchronization for Windows
instance directory
