6. Remove the plug of the USB cable from the USB terminal of
the computer.
Do not remove and reconnect the drive from or to the
computer in rapid succession. The drive may not be
recognized. Reconnect the drive approx. 20 seconds
after removing.
T In Windows 2000
1. Exit the program that uses the drive.
2. Confirm that the WRITE indicator of the drive is off.
3. Click the Remove icon on the Taskbar.
4. Select the removing drive. In this case, select the drive name
assigned to the drive (E: in this figure).
5. The Remove Hardware confirmation message appears. Click
the OK button.
6. Remove the plug of the USB cable from the USB terminal of
the computer.
