Choose the menu SNMP→RMON→Alarm Config to load the following page.

The following entries are displayed on this screen:
Alarm Table
Select:
Select the desired entry for configuration.
Index:
Displays the index number of the entry.
Variable:
Select the alarm variables from the pull-down list.
Port:
Select the port on which the Alarm entry acts.
Sample Type:
Specify the sampling method for the selected variable and
comparing the value against the thresholds.
• Absolute:
Compares the values directly with the thresholds
at the end of the sampling interval.
• Delta:
Subtracts the last sampled value from the current
value. The difference in the values is compared to the
threshold.
Rising Threshold:
Enter the rising counter value that triggers the Rising Threshold
alarm.
Risin
g Event:
Select the index of the corresponding event which will be
triggered if the sampled value is larger than the Rising
Threshold.
Falling Threshold:
Enter the falling counter value that triggers the Falling Threshold
alarm.
Falling Event:
Select th
e index of the corresponding event which will be
triggered if the sampled value is lower than the Falling
Threshold.
Alarm Type:
Specify the type of the alarm.
• All:
The alarm event will be triggered either the sampled
value exceeds the Rising Threshold or is under the Falling
Threshold.
• Rising:
When the sampled value exceeds the Rising
Threshold, an alarm event is triggered.
