4. Do one of the following:
• If you use automatic loading, reboot the computer to
load the fax software with the new settings.
or
• If you do not use automatic loading, reboot to unload
the software and type \PSFAX\PSFAX from the MS-DOS
prompt to load your new settings.
Setting advanced options with INSTALL/A
The advanced install program (INSTALL/A) is used to change
some of the internal settings for the fax printer, as well as some
of the advanced settings for the fax software.
INSTALL/A can do the following:
• Print fax printer settings
• Edit fax printer settings
• Edit timeout settings
• Edit printer port redirection
• Edit fax printer password.
Running the INSTALL/A program
At the MS-DOS c: command prompt, type \PSFAX\INSTALL/A (or
use the appropriate path for your fax software installation).
The Advanced Installation Options screen appears:
Printing and editing internal settings
The printer has a number of internal settings that are stored in its
non-volatile RAM memory (NVRAM). You can use INSTALL/A to
do the following:
• Produce a Fax Settings Page showing your current settings
• Change the current settings.
Follow these steps to print a settings page:
1. Make sure your printer is on and on-line.
