Chapter 3 Printer Setup

Communication Parameter Setup
(Printer Control Panel, 6050A)
This section explains the procedures for setting up the communication
parameters from the printer control panel.
Procedure
1 Press the <Menu> key and press the < >
button two times to navigate to the
[SYSTEM SETTINGS] menu. Then press
the <
> key.
2 [TCP/IP] is the only available interface on
the 6050A. Press the <
> key.
3 Five menu options can now be selected
from by pressing the <
> and < > keys.
[IP ADDRESS], [IP SUBNET MASK], [IP
GATEWAY], [DHCP], and [RARP/BOOTP]
in that order.
4 If [IP ADDRESS], [IP SUBNET MASK] and
[IP GATEWAY]
are selected, their
respective IP addresses can be
manually set on the printer after
pressing the
< > key.
5 [DHCP] and [RARP/BOOTP] have the
option of either being enabled or disabled.
This is done by first pressing the <
> key
while [DHCP] or [RARP/BOOTP] is
selected, and then pressing the <
> and
< > buttons to toggle between [ENABLE]
and [DISABLE].

Setup (Printer Control Panel, 6030/6050)" for information on how to
set the [IP ADDRESS], [IP SUBNET MASK], and [IP GATEWAY] IP
addresses..
