P. 10)
For Windows Me, if no sound can be heard through the headphones connected to
the headphone jack of the CRW2200UX drive or through the speakers with a
built-in amplifier connected to the LINE OUT jacks (L/R) on the rear panel of
your drive, perform the following steps to change settings.
(If Windows Media Player 7.0 is used in combination with Windows Me, this
problem can arise since the digital playback option is activated by default.)
1 The Properties setting of the CRW2200UX drive.
Select Control Panel, System, Device Manager tab, YAMAHA
CRW2200E Properties, and open the Properties tab.
Uncheck the Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device option.
2 The setting of the Windows Media Player.
Start Windows Media Player.
Select Menu, Tools, Options, and open the CD Audio tab.
Uncheck the Digital playback option.
