To establish the SCSI device configuration the Fibre Channel Option is commanded to
“Rescan” its three SCSI device buses. The three SCSI device channels, starting with
Channel 0, begin scanning for SCSI devices using ascending SCSI Target Ids. After all
three channels have been scanned, the FCO builds a SCSI device table, that it uses to
map SCSI Targets to the host as logical devices (LUNs).

Dual Bay Library
with two FCO’s
For single bay libraries or dual bay libraries with only one Fibre Channel Option in-
stalled, press the V (UP) or W (DOWN) key to move the pointer to
Device. Press the
ENTER key to enter the
Configuration\Fibre Channel\Device menu.
For single bay libraries or dual bay libraries with only one Fibre Channel Option in-
stalled, press the V (UP) or W (DOWN) key to move the pointer to
Device. Press the
ENTER key to enter the
Configuration\Fibre Channel\Device menu.
For dual bay libraries with two Fibre Channel Options installed, press the V (UP) or
W (DOWN) key to move the pointer to either
Device Left or Device Right.
The left and right orientation is as viewed from the front of the library. Press the EN-
TER key to enter the
Configuration\Fibre Channel\Device (Left or
Right)
menu.
For dual bay libraries with two Fibre Channel Options installed, press the V (UP) or
W (DOWN) key to move the pointer to either
Device Left or Device Right.
