If Sleep Manager cannot find the required space on
the hard disk during the space creation process, it
displays the message “Not Enough Space for
Allocation.”
Not Enough Space for Allocation
When Sleep Manager creates the space on the
hard disk, several situations can cause the
appearance of the message Not Enough Space for
Allocation:
q The amount of free space on the drive is less
than Sleep Manager needs. If the total
amount of free space on the drive is less than
the recommended size shown on the Sleep
Manger window, delete some unnecessary
files from the hard disk to make room. Then
re-run Sleep Manager.
q The hard disk has enough free space, but the
free space exists as small fragments. The free
disk space that Sleep Manager requires must
be contiguous. To solve this problem, run the
Windows 95 Disk Defragmenter utility. Then
re-run Sleep Manager.
