Problem
The
aspi2dos
ASPI manager is installed. The system will not boot
from the SCSI hard disk drive, and the
aspi2dos
logo does not
appear on the screen.
Action
1 Make sure that
aspi2dos.sys
is in the root directory of the boot
drive.
2 Make sure that your
config.sys
file contains this line:
device=aspi2dos.sys /d
Additional command line options are required for AHA-1510A
host adapter boards. See the EZ-SCSI User’s Manual for details.
Problem
General difficulties using a SCSI drive as drive D with a standard
hard disk as drive C.
Action
1 Make sure that hard disk 1 (D) is set to Not Installed or No
Drive Installed with your CMOS Setup program.
2 Make sure that the SCSI drive you want to use as drive D is set
to SCSI ID 0:0. Check your drive manual for information on
setting the SCSI ID for that device.
3 Make sure that SCSI parity is consistently enabled or disabled
on all devices on the SCSI bus.
4 Make sure that SCSI termination is set correctly on the host
adapter and the peripherals.
5 If your system is running under DOS, make sure that the disk
has a DOS partition and a DOS format.
