Configuring Security Settings for Your Web Browser
The Settings screen of your Web browser also includes a list of security settings. The security settings include:
• Remember passwords (saves usernames and passwords for Web sites)
• Clear passwords
• Show security warnings (shows a warning if there is a problem with a site’s security) (turned on by default)
The settings marked with an asterisk above open a dialog box to confirm that you want to perform an action.
To configure the privacy settings for your browser, do this:
1. In your browser, tap the Options menu to open it.
2. Tap the menu choice More options.
The Options menu closes and a new pop-up menu opens.
3. Tap the menu choice Settings.
4. Scroll down the Settings screen to find the security settings you want to change.
Configuring the Browser Mode for Viewing Pages
You can configure your Web browser to work like a browser on a desktop system, accessing the default content
oered by Web sites, or you can configure it to work like a browser on a mobile device, accessing content specially
formatted for mobile devices when mobile content is available. By default, the Web browser operates in Desktop
Browser Mode.
On the Settings screen for your Web browser, tap the Browser Mode menu choice. A dialog box opens.
Tap the browser mode you want to use. The dialog box closes, and your choice takes eect right away.
