Spanning Tree
Port #n Configuration Menu
The Spanning Tree Port #n Configuration Menu allows you to view Spanning
Tree Port Configuration information for an individual port. Select a from the
Spanning Tree Port Configuration Menu, enter a port number, and press Enter
to view the Spanning Tree Port #n Configuration Menu. Figure 3-10 shows the
Spanning Tree Port #n Configuration Menu and Table 3-9 describes the menu.
The “Port #n” designation represents the specific port number for configuration.

Field Description
Port State
The current Spanning Tree state of the port, either disabled, listening, learning,
forwarding, or blocking.
MAC Address The MAC address of the port.
Designated Cost
The cost of the path to the Root offered by the designated port for the LAN
associated with the port.
Designated Port The ID of the port believed to be the designated port for the LAN associated with
the port.
Designated Root The ID of the bridge recorded as the Root for the LAN associated with the port.
Designated Bridge The ID of the bridge believed to be the designated bridge for the LAN associated
with the port.
Path Cost The contribution of the path through this port, when it is the root port, to the total
path cost from this bridge to the root bridge (1-65535 range).
Port Priority The relative priority of the port on the bridge (0-255 range).
