322 Configuring Switching Information
Admin Duplex
— Specifies the port duplex mode.
Full
— Indicates that the interface supports transmission between the switch and the client in
both directions simultaneously.
Half
— Indicates that the interface supports transmission between the switch and the client in
only one direction at a time.
Current Duplex Mode
— Displays the synchronized port duplex mode.
Auto Negotiation
— Enables Auto Negotiation on the port. Auto Negotiation is a protocol between
two link partners that enables a port to advertise its transmission rate, duplex mode, and flow control
abilities to its partner.
Current Auto Negotiation
— Displays the current Auto Negotiation setting.
1000 Full
— Indicates that the port is advertising a 1000 mbps speed and full-duplex mode
setting.
10000 Full
— Indicates that the port is advertising a 10000 mbps speed and full-duplex mode
setting.
LAG
— Displays LAG number if this port is a member of a LAG.
Current Flow Control
— Indicates the current Flow Control settings. Possible field values are:
Active
— Flow Control is active.
Inactive
— Flow Control is inactive.
Transceiver Firmware Version
— Displays firmware part number of port transceiver, if available. Valid
only for SFX7101 transceivers on 10GBase-T non-stacking ports.
Image Firmware Version
— Displays the version of the image on the firmware.
Firmware Update Status
— Indicates the statue of the firmware on the switch:
Up-to-date
— The firmware status is current.
Outdated
— The firmware status is not current.
Max. Cable Length
— Displays the maximum cable length determined by current power backoff level.
Defining Port Parameters
1.
Open the
Port Configuration
page.
2.
Select a unit and port in the
Unit
and
Port
fields.
3.
Define the available fields on the screen.
4.
Click
Apply Changes
.
The port parameters are saved to the switch.
