Problems Using the Start Button
You see the message “No Push button scanner detected.” on your Macintosh.
When you press the Start button, nothing happens.
Problem Solution
Scanner monitoring
doesn’t detect the
scanner.
The EPSON Scanner Monitor (Macintosh) periodically checks on the
status of your scanner to make sure it’s ready. Sometimes the scanner
check occurs when your system is processing other information and the
scanner is not detected during that particular check. (You may see this
message anytime, not just when you press the Start button.)
If you see this message, make sure your scanner cable is securely
connected. Then open and close the scanner monitoring utility to
manually check for the scanner. See Enabling Scanner Monitoring
for
instructions. If you still see the message, unplug your scanner, then plug
it in again and restart your system.

not enabled.
